Boost

Boost provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. There's quite a bunch of really useful stuff in the Boost libraries, and we plan to use Boost at several places in the PANDA PWA code. Currently we are using version 1.42.0. You have to install Boost before you can compile GenEvA. Please ask your system administrator for a "system wide" installation of Boost to /usr.

You'll find tarballs of the Boost sources on http://www.boost.org . There are install instructions in the "Getting Started" chapter on http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_42_0 , and in addition you will find a lot of documentation and examples there, which definitely are worth to read.
