Minutes of the Forward Endcap EMC Vibe/eZuce meeting, 3rd of May 2021, 14:00-15:00

Submodule Logistics:

• 3rd transport to Jülich was Thursday last week
• Need to improve access situation for driver from RUB - up to now an IKP staff member had to pick up submodules at the gate
• Next time Claudius will do the transport to Bonn and Jülich in order to unpack submodules and return boxes and handles for reuse

Submodule Cosmics Tests:

• 15 out of 48 submodules tested so far show wrongly cabled (HV or LV) or labeled units or mixups of APDs in capsules. A mixup of HV cable positions in the 12-pin plugs may be a further source of mistakes - easy to check and solve, though.
• Need to repair all of these units and improve the manufacturing and testing process in Bochum in order to avoid such mistakes in the future
• First measure will be the introduction of separate HV supplies for both APD channels of each unit instead of a common HV supply. That would uncover cabling failures at the first test step.
• Additionally we will colour code the APDs (red and blue dots on ceramic frame edge, readable from photo active side and staying visible after gluing to capsule)
