Minutes of the forward endcap EMC Vibe/eZuce meeting, 12th of August 2019, 14:00-14:40

APD-Submodules:

• The first two 16-crystal APD submodules have been cabled inside the Bonn climate chamber
• Calibration of one of the HV distribution boards is still ongoing
• Once the setup is ready for data talking (end of this week) a special view on differences in noise of the two submodules will be done as the annealing LED cable routing is different for the two modules
• After precalibration with cosmics the submodules will be used to test cabling on the Bonn backplane cutout mockup

HV distribution boards irradiation:

• Single components of the boards have been tested to 400 Gy but there is a new ADC used on the latest boards
• A complete board test, reading out all 32 channels, is planned again with 400 Gy total dose to be applied within about a week in order to keep dose rates moderate

Temperature sensors:

• Connection problems of the sensors during calibration traced back to faulty connectors on the PCBs - the sensors are specified for some 10 plugging cycles which is too few for our needs here (and in the teststations at Bonn)
• New types of plugs with higher cycling numbers habe been mounted now (also recommended for the Bonn setup)
• Analysis of the Bonn test setup temperature sensor data is going on by Miriam

SADC crates:

• Pawel would like to get back the (only existing) SADC crate backplane PCB -> will be sent by Bochum group
• More of the moderately radiation hard power supplies as tested in the latest KVI beamtime are going to be build for usage in the Juelich beam times and early PANDA phases
• The irradiated power supplies still at KVI should now be able to be handled and sent to Uppsala for closer inspection
