SADC Crates:
Pawel reported from the SADC Crate Power Supply irradiation at KVI last week:
Module tested contained four power supply channels, one controller, one driver
Module survived dose of 10^11 protons/cm^2
1 channel stopped working at 1.3*10^11 protons/cm^2
2nd channel stopped working at 2.4*10^11 protons/cm^2
Is a radiation withstand of 10^11 protons/cm^2 enough?
Dose rate this time much lower than in previous irradiation tests, damage, however, occured at about the same total dose (no rate effect)
What exactly died on the boards is not yet clear - items still to hot to handle (need to wait for declining acvtivity)
An inspection of the first irradiated power supply did not take place yet either
A radiation hard alternative may be the CERN supplies (less efficient)
15 power supplies we need soon for the endcap erection in Juelich
Submodule Cabling:
Monday next week Christoph will come to Bochum in order to verify estimated signal cable bundle lengths on the endcap (using SADC crate mock-ups w/ original backplane PCB)
Data base:
VPTT submodule measurement summaries from Bonn need to go into data base
