Cosmics test stand results: Latest VPTT submodule:
Merlin presented some plots showing the spread of the channel responses in the latest build submodule
While there is no difference visible between the eight readout units made from preamps with known gain and the group of preamps with indirectly determined gain there is still some concern about the magnitude of spread by the Bonn colleagues
Given the different spread sources, with the crystal light yield being the one with the highest contribution, we (Bochum) think, the distribution measured is reasonable
A calculation of output voltage at 12 GeV (maximum single crystal energy deposit) should be done to prove all preamp signals stay below clipping
We decided to let Bonn colleagues cross check the calculation of quality factors etc. again and look for potential errors in the analyses
SADC boards:
Malte reported about non working SFP links (the same position on both new delivered boards) which might be a firmware related problem
Pawel mentioned that the SFP connectors are not included in the tests at Uppsala, just the readout via versatile link
Malte will check with Pawel afterwards
Test submodule for Groningen:
Myroslav asked for a test submodule and one THMP of the latest version
As soon as series production restarted it will be no problem to give one of the successfully working tested units to Groningen
Alternatively measurements could be done in Bonn in the tests stations (perfect cabling conditions), however, no long measuring periods would be possible as the stations are needed for series production evaluation
Unfortunately in Bochum we do not have the possibility to operate full submodules at -25 degrees
