Minutes of the forward endcap EMC SeeVogh meeting, 1st of February 2016, 14:00-15:00

'Bonn' VPTT subunit:

• The VPTT subunit arrived at Bonn and is going to be installed

Basel preamps:

• Four pieces of the new preamp version arrived in Bochum and have been tested
• There is a strange oscillation: ~40 MHz high level (open input), ~20 MHz high level (charge injection input), ~10 MHz low level (real APD signal input)
• We need to figure out the cause of the oscillation and the differing observations in Basel and Bochum

Readout electronics:

• The ADC board from Poland arrived at Uppsala
• Optical link capability tests promising - probably frequency increase over 2 GHz possible
• Versatile Link group (CERN): possible to place orders (500 pieces already)
• Stockholm group: going to work with ChipScope using analog input signals (LaBr)
• There is manpower missing in Uppsala to work on a 'laboratory readout solution' with Zynq-SoCs, maybe one finds a master student interested in this work outside Uppsala (Bochum?)

Forward Endcap mechanical assembly:

• Almost all Swagelok hoses arrived
• Drawings for stainless steel coolant distributor 'bones' almost finished, will be sent to KVI this week for manufacturing cost estimation (and hopefully production)
