Results and Decisions
- The PID TAG agreed on the separation power discribing the distance of two Gaussian distributions with the same sigma and height. Based on the most of the experiments it is discribed eg. in T. Ypsilantis et al., NIM A 343 (1994) 30-51, P. Glaessel and others, NIM A 433 (1999) 17-23, and the Particle Data Book. Taking a separation of 4 sigma with a cut in the middle between both distributions results in a missidentification of 2.3%.
