Ezuce meeting 28.02.2018 Partecipants: De Remigis, Calvo, Grunwald, Lai, Mazza, Olave, Sohlbach, Zaunick Agenda: 1) Strip mechanics and stave assembly; 2) discussion about Toast; 3) discussion about flex and MDC connection; 4) results in the test with Pasta. 1) A new conflict was pointed out by Dirk on the mechanical drawing between the additional stave (at higher radius) of the optoelectronics boards and the STT support. It will be the same for the electronics of this detector. Ralf will joint the Panda meeting to discuss about that. In Juelich there is a detailed drawing for a custom connector to be used on the strip stave; a first prototype will be submitted to an external company. Daniela remind that the crosssection of the wires could still change/increase (we hope no!). The production cannot be done until we do not have final power request of all the electronics that equipp the stave. (SEE slides) 2) Flex and MDC connection. A warning has been raised about the array of chip; it would be better to place the MDC always on the same side of the Toast row, serving the same sensor. Look at the direction of the rows in the slides that present stave, both sides. The MDC is going to have about 150 pins; making it in package will facilitate a lot the assembly, but it requires more space. What about material budget? 3) Results with Pasta. In a plot of the events with respect to the time, there is a curious behaviour showing an increase at the beginning of the run. Unfortunately Alessandra suspended to work on that issue, since she is involved on the analysis of a new physics channel. The discussion will continue at the MVD session at GSI. It is important to understand if there are problems of the analog part of PASTA by analising the beam test data.
