Minutes of the MVD evo - February 7

Jonny informs that the test bench for the analogue part of the strip readout is ready.
Gianni  tells us that the submssion of Alcor is foreseen in Autumn.
In my opinion is very far from our plan. 
Gianni suggest to verify the possibility to use the digital part of ToPix also for 
the new prototype of Pasta , that become now ToASt (Torino Asic Strip).

Tobias is simulating the events for Gianni. He will send to him the file soon.
The file concerns the strip with the higher rate of hits (barrel or disk) under 
the chosen condition of the beam.

Gianni summarize the problem of the DCDC circuits installed in CMS for the
tracker. We have to follow the evolution of this problem...
I remind that we planned about 2k circuits for the mvd.

Hans explains again the trend of some parameters of the strips under radiation:
shaping time, noise, Signal to noise ratio.
He will perfoms (togheter to Jonny) in the next two weeks additional evaluation,
an optimization.
Daniela ask to conclude all the analysis in two weeks and 
produce a table summarizing the user requirements  for the strip readout.

Daniela remind that by changing the interface towards the MDC, Helmut will have to
re-write part of the VHDL for this part.
It is important to establish soon the control interface for the readout and the needed 
number of lines for the chips.

We will meet in two weeks, Feb. 21, due to the management meeting of the next week.
The idea is to discuss electornics , and the mechanics.
Tobias will contact Dirk, Ralf and Eberard to understand their availability.
