The two large spectrometer magnets provide the required fields for momentum reconstruction and act as a frame for most of the PANDA detectors. A superconducting solenoid with a free diameter of 1.8m provides a field of 2T (see Solenoid). A large-aperture dipole magnet with 2Tm field integral along the particles' trajectories covers particles emitted below angles of 5 and 10deg, in vertical and horizontal planes, respectively (see Dipole).
