Submodule Glueing:

• Christian presented his measurements on submodule dimensions:
  • Tests on brass dummy equipped submodules were carried out concerning variations in dimensions depending on the submodule orientation
  • There are positions of the submodule wrt its suspension where the nominal/optimal dimensions of the submodule can be measured
  • Glueing the inserts to the carbon alveole in this optimum position results in submodules showing this optimum dimension also later on in mounting position
  • Even in non optimum orientation the so far unglued submodules show deviation form otimum geometry in the order of less than 0.1 degree sagging corresponding to 0.5 mm front edge displacement which is fully tolerable
• Christian also did tests on cracking glued inserts out of the carbon alveole which might work in some cases should a dismounting of a submodule being necessary.

APD Submodule Production:

• Christoph required a change in submodule confectioning: The color coded bundling hoses should be left out for the signal cables allowing easier plugging to the distributor boards
