Minutes of the forward endcap EMC eZuce SRN meeting, 8th of April 2019, 14:15-15:00

APD-Submodule Material Bonn:

• Coaxial cable manufactured by the Bonn electronics workshop will start today (delay because of other priorities)
• C-shaped distributor boards (for Juelich test stand) will be delivered on 10th of April
• All (35 more) submodule handles are finished (with rubber grips!), mounting to the submodules only after glueing of inserts into alveoles!

VPTT-Submodule Measurements:

• Tobias (Bonn) presented an overview of the Bonn cosmics stand measurements
• Some channels would benefit from higher gain/higher VPTT bias voltage in terms of S/N ratio, resulting in less maximum detectable energy deposit. As the 12 GeV maximum detectable energy threshold is only valid for the very inner VPTT equipped crystals, a lower maximum detectable energy will be tolerable in the outer VPTT-equipped forward endcap region.

VPTT-Submodule Measurements:

• No recently manufactured SADC power supplies, no orders pending - maybe orders from Bochum (about 4 pieces?) got lost (Malte will clarify with Pawel)

APD Irradiation/Handling PCBs:

• Bochum colleagues would prefer spring contacts rather than machined connectors on the boards, the Giessen colleagues, however, are pretty satisfied with the PCBs as they are, provided that a modified IC extraction tool is used (they will send the drawings)
• Still waiting for APD pickup date from PSL
