Minutes of the forward endcap EMC SeeVogh meeting, 23rd of November 2015, 14:00-15:00:

HV crates:

• Tobias asked for the possibility to ship one of the Iseg HV crates (equipped with modules) located in Basel to Bochum in order to replace broken modules.
• Werner will organize the shipment within two weeks. (Clarification about the needed module types by Tobias and Werner after the meeting...)
• Some 'Basel' labeled modules in Bochum need to be repaired. We will ship them to Iseg and ask for warranty. If an invoice for repair needs to be issued it should be sent to Basel.

Detector Assembly:

• Concerning the failing of an input JFET and OpAmp in one of the latest delivered VPTT preamps Werner stressed the need for secure handling measures.
• We will install ESD-protection work places and omit handling the preamps with plastic gloves in the future.

ADC crates:

• Christoph showed CAD drawings of connector arrangements on the ADC crate backplane
• The PCB should be enforced by aluminum bars to prevent it from deformation while plugging/unplugging connectors.
• For the forseen connection of cables to the backplane connectors via PCBs a strain relief for the cables and/or a suspension of these PCBs is needed.
• Myroslav reported about the latest ADC crate cooling design works at KVI.
• Incorporating the aluminum tubes into a sandwich structure of aluminum side walls did not work: The tube does not follow the milled out compartements as accuratly as needed and deforms in a way that prevents a proper connection of the sandwich halves.
• A new design with the tube-Us being outside (behind) the aluminum side wall and leaving only straight tube section inside the wall will be tried.
