Disc DIRC

The numbers are extracted from a calculation looking only at the optical region. The calculations include dispersion effects but no correction was applied yet. Thus we may expect to become better.

  • angles: 5/10 - 22deg
  • pion-kaon identification < 2 GeV/c
  • kaon-proton < 4 GeV/c
  • thickness 10-15mm + container =~ 20 X

Forward RICH

Here we just assume the design as in the HERMES RICH. (see also NIM A553)

  • angles: 0-5/10deg
  • pions: 0.5 - 16 GeV/c
  • kaons: 2 - 16 GeV/c
  • protons: 2 - 20 GeV/c
  • thickness 1.2m
