Barrel Time of Flight

Aida Goloyan provided a parametrization for the Time of Flight measurment with the barrel tof:

    • tof1.pdf: Identification of slow charged particles in PANDA experiment with barrel ToF
    • "...a good identification of slow charged particles – pi-mesons, K-mesons and protons can be achieved at PANDA experiment with high accuracy using combined information from TOF – m2, and dE=dx from tracker sub-detector (TPC or STT)."
      • citation from the minutes of the 5th PANDA PID TAG VRVS meeting (VrvsMeeting05):
        • With the barrel ToF good separation of pions, kaons and protons are possible in the momentum range of 0.1 to 0.6 GeV/c. Up to 1.1 GeV/c protons still can be separated well.
        • Remark:
          • Klaus Foehl: A parametrisation in separation power still has to come.
